Donald Joseph Qualls (also known as DJ Qualls) is a fashion actor and model hailing from the United States. Following his fame-making role on Road Trip and The New Guy Hustle & Flow the actor has appeared in more than 20 feature films, including The Core. Alongside appearing on Breaking Bad Supernatural, Scrubs, Scrubs, Lost Law & Order, and numerous others. Qualls who was diagnosed at the age of 14 with Hodgkin lymphoma, is an extremely tough fighter. Two years after treatment the cancer has gone into Remission. The treatment, however, in such a short time caused a significant impact on his body. It also slowed his development. Once he started acting financially secure, it was his goal because his experience with poverty had been a part of his childhood. In an interview, he said that if I don't have the financial security or feel out of control in the world I will be miserable. In a conversation, he also reflects on his own growing up. He is determined to end bullying. "Cruelty breaks me heart," he said. He says that his ideal character would be father figures in the real world and on film. Director doesn't pick him to fill these roles, however, he claims. He would like to have a child of his own when he would be able to devote less time to his career and more to his child.
